Dr. Deborah Wilson Clark
Owner Emerita of Pacific Hearing Service
I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. I have a master’s degree in audiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a doctorate degree in audiology (Au.D.) from Salus University.
The early years of my career were in large university and hospital settings. I spent eight years at The Bill Wilkerson Hearing and Speech Center and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. As a young audiologist, I received guidance from some of the best audiologists and otologists in the world. It was a stimulating environment with exposure to a wide range of patients with various communication and health issues.
Dr. Jane H. Baxter

I grew up locally in Los Altos. My father and grandfather were both ear, nose, and throat physicians. I earned a BS in psychology at UC Santa Barbara and went to graduate school in education and rehabilitation at UC Berkeley. After a brief career as a teacher, I went back to SF State University for my MS in audiology-communication disorders. Later, I earned a doctorate in audiology from Salus University.
I began my career educating deaf children and loved it so much that I continued my education in audiology. I spent my early years at Stanford University Medical Center and the VA Hospital. This gave me invaluable experience in dealing with the medical aspects of audiology. I became an early partner in Pacific Hearing Service because I wanted to allow the time needed to provide the best care possible for each of my patients.
Heather Chapman-Codiroli
Director of Operations and Patient Care Coordinator
I was born and raised in Campbell, California. I started my career as a custom denture technician and eventually became office manager and off-site patient rep - acting as the communication bridge between our patients, dentists, and laboratory technicians. It was there I found my love for the senior community, but after 10+ years in the dental field, I took time away from work to grow my family.
Barbara Beck
Outreach Consultant
I grew up in the Bay Area with a typewriter and a Super 8 camera always at hand, and corralling my friends to make little movies whether they liked it or not. That early obsession helped me earn a spot at USC’s film school, where I graduated with a BA in Cinema and Television.
I returned to the Bay Area and built a career working in corporate video. Over the years, I worked as a writer, producer, director, and editor—both freelance and for companies like TRW (now Northrop Grumman) and NASA Ames Research Center.

Peter Kidder
Head of Credit, Innovation Banking - HSBC Bank
I serve as Head of Credit for the US Innovation Banking division within HSBC Bank. I am responsible for the loan approval and credit quality of HSBC's commercial portfolio of technology, health care, and life science companies as well as venture capital funds. I previously held several leadership positions in credit at Silicon Valley Bank, including Deputy Chief Credit Officer and Head of Loan Administration. I hold an AB degree in Government from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Darden School, University of Virginia
Liz Lucas
Grant & Contract Funding Specialist
I am the Grant & Contract Funding Specialist for Petaluma Health Center, a federally qualified health center reaching underserved patients in Sonoma and Marin Counties.
I am responsible for researching funding opportunities, applying for grants, and reporting on outcomes and spending. Previously, I worked as a grant writer and evaluation manager at LifeMoves and at Abode Services in the Bay Area.
I hold a BA in English from the University of Michigan and an MLIS from San Jose State University.
Dr. Christine Throm
Audiologist/Owner - Los Gatos Audiology
I bring years of training and a solid educational background to the practice of audiology. I live and work in Los Gatos. I have been married for over 27 years and have a son and a daughter. I originally graduated with my master’s from San Jose State in Audiology and then went on several years later to get my doctorate from Arizona School of Health Sciences.
I spent about 15 years of my career working in Ear Nose and Throat Practices both in Los Gatos and in Santa Cruz and purchased Los Gatos Audiology in 2013. I am proud of the reputation Los Gatos Audiology and Hearing Aid Center has in my community and I look forward to serving the community for many years to come.
I served as board member and President of the California Academy of Audiology (CAA), and I joined the Pacific Hearing Connection Board in 2020. I continue to advocate for consumer protection, access to better hearing, and elevating the standard of care and audiology excellence.
Katey Webber
Director of Research & Impact at the Institute on Aging (IOA)
I’m the Director of Research & Impact at the Institute on Aging (IOA), where I lead research, evaluation, and strategic initiatives to improve the health, well-being, and independence of older adults and underserved populations.
I work closely with healthcare providers, community-based organizations, government agencies, and academic partners to develop evidence-based programs, evaluate service outcomes, and advance innovations in aging and behavioral health. I hold a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from UC Berkeley.
I’m passionate about translating research into practical solutions that strengthen communities, inform policy, and improve quality of life. I bring expertise in program evaluation, grant development, nonprofit finance, and cross-sector collaboration to my service on the Pacific Hearing Connection Board.
