Dr. Rebecca (Becky) Dolan

Director of Audiology

I grew up locally in San Jose, CA. I received my bachelor of arts degree from California State University, Chico, in speech pathology and audiology. I then went on to California State University, Long Beach, for my master of arts degree in audiology. Then it was on to the University of Florida to obtain my doctoral degree in audiology.

My mom studied audiology, and it was she who suggested I look into audiology when I was at Chico State. While working on my master’s degree, it was discovered I had a hearing loss. Although, I did not start wearing hearing aids until after I graduated and moved to Boston where I worked for a hearing aid manufacturing company as a field representative. This employment provided me with the practical experience of wearing hearing aids to understand what my patients may go through. It also gave me an inside knowledge as to how hearing aids are made and the research that is conducted for advances in hearing aid technology. From there, I moved back to the Bay Area and worked at an audiology clinic in San Mateo for 12 years.

It was a stimulating environment with exposure to a wide range of patients with various communication and health issues.

Dr. Jane H. Baxter

Audiologist, Founder, Vice President

I grew up locally in Los Altos. My father and grandfather were both ear, nose, and throat physicians. I earned a BS in psychology at UC Santa Barbara and went to graduate school in education and rehabilitation at UC Berkeley. After a brief career as a teacher, I went back to SF State University for my MS in audiology-communication disorders. Later, I earned a doctorate in audiology from Salus University.

I began my career educating deaf children and loved it so much that I continued my education in audiology. I spent my early years at Stanford University Medical Center and the VA Hospital. This gave me invaluable experience in dealing with the medical aspects of audiology. I became an early partner in Pacific Hearing Service because I wanted to allow the time needed to provide the best care possible for each of my patients.

Director, Grants and Contracts, LifeMoves (formerly, InnVision Shelter Network)

I trained as a lawyer, and after 30+ years of working at law firms and in corporate law departments, I left the corporate world and joined the non-profit LifeMoves in 2016.  LifeMoves’ mission is to end the cycle of homelessness for families and individuals across Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.  My work at LifeMoves includes applying for grants and RFP submissions, as well as managing the non-profit’s portfolio of public and private grants and contracts.  Several years ago, I traveled to Zambia with Debbie on an Entheos mission trip to see first-hand the amazing impact that hearing aids can have on children and families.  I am pleased to bring her legal and non-profit experience to support the work of Pacific Healthcare Connection.
