Menlo Park Office
We are looking forward to continuing to provide your hearing healthcare. Since the world has changed dramatically since the last time we saw you, we want you to know what protocols we have put in place to keep you and our staff safe while addressing your hearing needs. Here's what you need to know:
If you answer "yes" to any of the following, kindly reschedule your appointment for 14 days or later:
  • Do you have any respiratory symptoms, fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, sudden loss of taste/smell or sore throat?
  • In the last 14 days have you been in contact with someone who has or may have COVID-19?
  • Have you traveled by airplane within the last 14 days? If so, your appointment should be scheduled for at least 14 days after your most recent flight.
  • Our doors stay locked. When you arrive, please call the front desk to let us know you have arrived. If you do not have a cell phone, don't worry! We have a front door camera, so we will see you. In order to minimize hand-to-surface contact, please do NOT knock.
  • We are limiting the number of people we allow in the waiting room. Please wait in your car until your appointment time. We will text or call when your audiologist is ready. If you do not have a cell phone, we will walk out to your car to inform you.
  • You must wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, a bandana or scarf will suffice. No one is allowed in the office without a mask.
  • Please come to your appointments alone. In order to minimize the number of people in the office at once, we ask that you come to your appointments alone, unless that is not possible. If you need to have another person with you, please let us know so that we can make arrangements. We also have the option of welcoming family involvement via telehealth or phone.
  • Please do not bring in backpacks, purses, etc.
  • Bring your own pen.
  • When you enter the office, we will ask you to use hand sanitizer. We will provide this. We prefer that you NOT wear gloves.
  • You may be escorted directly to your appointment room. All audiologists will be wearing masks, face shields and gloves.
  • We will maintain the safe 6 foot distance as much as possible. This is not always an option given the nature of some appointments. We hate to be rude, but we won't speak with you if we are within 6 feet and request that you do the same.
  • Please respect respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette. Use tissues if you must sneeze or cough.
  • You may pre-pay. If the fee for service is known prior to your appointment, you may pre-pay by calling us ahead of time with your credit card information.
  • We strongly prefer credit card payments at this time. If you cannot pay by credit card, we understand and will accommodate.
  • You may give your credit card to the audiologist. In order to minimize time interacting with staff, your audiologist will take your credit card during the appointment and give it to the front office staff while you finish up. This way the payment process will be completed by the end of your appointment.
  • If we need to schedule another appointment, either your audiologist will do it during your appointment, or we will contact you by phone or email.
  • We will once again ask you to use hand sanitizer on your hands as you leave the office.
  • Alas, no chocolate for now. But the chocolate will return as soon as it is safe to do so.
  • Please contact us if you develop COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of your visit to Pacific Hearing Service.
Until further notice, all hearing aid cleanings will be done by appointment only. All hearing aid cleanings will be done using our curbside service.

Whew! We think that's it! We appreciate you taking the time to review this. We know it's a lot. But keeping you safe is our #1 goal. See you soon!

Kind Regards,

Your friends at Pacific Hearing Service
