Dr. Deborah Wilson Clark - Audiologist, Founder

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. I have a master’s degree in audiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a doctorate degree in audiology (Au.D.) from Salus University.

The early years of my career were in large university and hospital settings. I spent eight years at The Bill Wilkerson Hearing and Speech Center and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. As a young audiologist, I received guidance from some of the best audiologists and otologists in the world. It was a stimulating environment with exposure to a wide range of patients with various communication and health issues.

I also spent five years in Seattle at The Virginia Mason Medical Center and was a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the University of Washington Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences.
When I moved to Palo Alto in 1998, working for a private practice provided new and different challenges. I brought with me experience from large medical institutions as I embraced the opportunities of a smaller, more intimate environment.

At Pacific Hearing Connection, we do everything we can to give our patients the best hearing possible. For us, it is not just about selling a widget. It is about serving, educating, learning, and listening.

Our culture is filled with compassion for each other and teamwork. We are all committed to helping each other provide the best outcomes for our patients. Every staff member truly cares about each other and about each patient that walks in the door.

In 2014, I became a founding board member of the Entheos Audiology Cooperative and served as president of the board from 2017 to 2020. Jane and I founded our non-profit, Pacific Hearing Connection in 2016, because it is our passion to help people who can’t afford hearing healthcare.
In addition, we travel all over the world doing humanitarian audiology work in underserved countries like Jordan, Zambia, and Mozambique, to name a few. The cultural experiences are above and beyond the typical tourist experience.

Beyond that, I love yoga, dancing, and sitting in the backyard with my husband sipping a glass of wine.
